Room Hire for the Community
New activities or groups are welcomed to our friendly building at the lively hub of which is a large, light and airy community Hall. With a Day Nursery and the base for groups we offer varied activities for all age groups attracting large numbers of people from many sections of the local community.

Hours:
Open Monday to Friday 9am to 10pm. Saturday and Sunday by arrangement.
Our premises are secure, fully accessible (lift to first floor), with staffed reception & caretaking.
Internet access is included.

“I’ve hired the Childcare and Community Centre hall for 11 years , teaching Kundalini Yoga each Monday evening. The room is always clean, bright and airy and toilet facilities are always spotless. Heating is good in colder months and there’s also the provision of air conditioning when it’s high summer! Hot water is also kindly provided each week for my ladies to enjoy a cup of yogi tea. The staff are friendly and super helpful at all times. Annual risk assessment is undertaken and thorough insurance checks requested. We don’t use the car park at the back as it is quite small. My ladies use a car park opposite the centre just a couple of minutes walk. There is also a lift for those who are unable to manage the stairs or have equipment to take up. ”

“Ashton u3a have been using Hilton Street Child Care & Community Centre hall for our tai chi and seated yoga classes every week, as part of our keep fit and wellness programme. The hall itself is perfect for a large group, light and airy with plenty of space. As folk of a certain age, the availability of a lift has meant that access is no problem and allows those with limited mobility to participate in the activity. I cannot praise the staff at the centre too highly; they are extremely helpful and go out of their way to assist in any way they can. We feel very lucky to have found such a perfect venue so close to the centre of Ashton.”
“I have used the room hire at the Childcare & Community centre for the past 14 years for various community groups! Always been satisfied! The Hall is a large and spacious room , holds a lot of people! I use this for a monthly luncheon club, plenty tables and chairs! Plenty space! Free car parking nearby! Also use of the kitchen facilities if needed! The hire charge for the room is really very reasonable, hire for one hour or all day , there is a lift to get to the first floor which is very handy indeed! Plus a bathroom situated in the hall so no need to keep going down the stairs, room is disabled friendly! I have also held other groups at the centre small and large. The Staff at the centre are all very helpful and the reception is open all day! I would urge any community groups or anyone else that are looking to hire a room for whatever purpose to contact the centre for details and I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed!”
